Baltic Bus Tour

We were fortunate enough to be visited by a team from the Baltic art gallery in Newcastle. They are touring the North East with examples of artwork by eight different artists, all based on the theme of 'What's for Tea?'; exploring food production from the perspective of local and community initiatives and their contrast with global mass production.

The children got to talk about this artwork and learn how flour is made, grounding this in the Baltic's past as a flour mill from 1950 to 1981.
