Blog - 17th June

 Hello everyone,

This week we've been very productive in Apple Class with painting 'beach huts and beach scenes,' using Ipads to create an underwater scene (discussing the sea creatures that we chose) and we even had time to make sandcastles in the sand!

We had some fun making sandcastles and using positional language to describe where we had places the shells, stones and seaweed. Our key words were:

On top
Underneath
At the front
At the back
At the side

Can you encourage your child to use these words over the weekend.

In our Musical Apples sessions this week, we learnt a hopping song and we practised this key skill. Many of us still need a hand to hold as we hop but we are all getting better and better! We enjoyed singing our new song The Pirate Ship" where we sing about going "forwards, backwards, this way, that way, up and down, up and down and over the deep blue sea." We wonder if your child can sing it to you? We also had lots more fun with the parachute.

As we prepare for Sports Day next week, we've had great fun practising the skills that we'll need for each activity. We've been balancing (object on our head,) keeping a steady hand and stepping or jumping over an object without knocking it down. We really are looking forward to showing this to you next week! If you haven't received an email about sports day next week - please do get in touch!

Have a lovely weekend.
