Blog and homework for week commencing 12th of October

Hello everyone and welcome to this week's blog and homework overview.
Congratulations to all who took part in the Willow verses Chestnut Battle of the Bands Tournament. On my last look at the competition results, Willow Class were just in the lead and if I'm not mistaken, Willow Class won the overall competition! Well done!
We have some Spelling Frame Stars who have been working hard to practise their spellings and build up well-deserved points. Well done to all of you who have appeared on the leaderboard but a big well done to Brody, Daisy and Cameron who were in the top 3 for points. Keep up the hard work everyone!
Last week's Star of the Week was Ben Reed for fantastic team work . Well done Ben! Who will it be this week I wonder?
To mark National Poetry Day, Willow Class performed a Roald Dahl poem called The Crocodile. It took a few attempts to film it all in one go but we did it! Look at the separate class page to enjoy the poem. We just know you will all love it.
~ All spellings can be found by logging onto Spelling Frame. Please log on regularly every week to practise your weekly spellings.
This week's homework is once again set on 'Busy Things' in 'My Assignments'. This week, I am asking you all to write about your favourite book using the template provided. Once you're finished, please submit it to me so I can enjoy reading your work and give you feedback.
TTRS Battle of the Bands
Willow and Chestnut are going head to head in a Battle of the Bands session - yet again! Go on to Times Tables Rockstars regularly this week to see if we can rock up even more points and get to know our multiplication facts even better. Let battle commence!
Take care everyone and have a good week,
Mrs Smith
