Blog and Homework for week commencing 30th of November

Hello and welcome again to this week's blog and homework page. It is hard to believe we are almost into December already! Although December is going to look very different for all of us in school this year, we have still been busy making Christmas cards in preparation for the celebration. Willow class are sure you will love this year's design they have created for you. We have also been busy making our savoury muffins in class. Last week's groups enjoyed making these and they looked and smelled delicious! This week, our groups who chose chorizo, bacon or egg will have their turn.
I was really impressed with last week's homework efforts. You obviously enjoyed doing the Roman research and we will share these efforts in class this week.
Below is an overview of our Willow Class celebrations as well as details of this week's subject homework, spellings and Bug Club.
We have some Spelling Frame Stars who have been working hard to practise their spellings and build up well-deserved points. Well done to our famous five for this week who are Jessie Ha, Lucas Graham, Daisy McArdle, Lily Mallaburn and Freya McKnee. Keep up the hard work everyone and make sure spellings are practised ready for our weekly test. Let's see who will appear at the top of our leaderboard next week. There are School360 points up for grabs!
Since we are celebrating Spelling Frame Stars each week, I thought it would be only right that we celebrate our Times Tables Rockstars Heroes on o weekly basis too. Rockstars is a great tool for weekly practise so make sure you all spend a bit of time on it every week. This week's heroes are Cameron Bowie, Charlotte Brabben, Dan Bridgens, Evie Brown and Tiana Cairns. Well done to you all and I will give out School 360 points this week.
Our Star of the Week for last week was Jack Frater for a fantastic improvement in handwriting presentation. Keep it up Jack and let's see who will be our next star of the week.
~ All spellings can be found by logging onto Spelling Frame. Please log on regularly every week to practise your weekly spellings. If for some reason your child is not able to access Spelling Frame, please get in touch and I can send you the spelling list.
This week's homework is once again set on 'Busy Things' in 'My Assignments'. This week's maths homework asks you to think about multiples of 2, 5 and 10, in other words, answers you will find in these times tables. Organise the common multiples into the correct section on the diagram. You can mark your work and have a go as many times as you like.
I am pleased to see that most of you are managing to read books which I have set for you on Bug Club. Don't forget that this is now part of your weekly homework - to read at least one book. The books are very up to date , colourful and engaging. I'm sure you will all enjoy reading them. I have allocated more books this week for those who were running a bit low. Enjoy!
Take care everyone and have a good week,
Mrs Smith
