Blog and homework for week commencing 9th of November

Hello and welcome to this week's blog and homework page. The children have come back to school in good spirits following the half term holiday. As usual, below is an outline of this week's news and homework.
We have some Spelling Frame Stars who have been working hard to practise their spellings and build up well-deserved points. Well done to all of you who have appeared on the leaderboard but a big well done to Thomas Wooldridge, Isla Lockett and Brody Gibson who were in the top 3 for points. Keep up the hard work everyone and make sure spellings are practised ready for our weekly test.
Our Star of the Week is Mamie Belshaw for having a positive approach to learning and school life. Well done Mamie!
~ All spellings can be found by logging onto Spelling Frame. Please log on regularly every week to practise your weekly spellings. If for some reason your child is not able to access Spelling Frame, please get in touch and I can send you the spelling list.
This week's homework is once again set on 'Busy Things' in 'My Assignments'. In Willow Class we have started to think about designing a savoury muffin. Your task on Busy Things is to think about one of your favourite recipes (any snack or meal not just muffins) and write the instructions on how to make it. You can even draw pictures to show each step and choose your own template to set it all out. I have listed some words on the instructions page that I would like you to use to organise each step. I am looking forward to learning how to make some of your favourite recipes! Don't forget to submit your work to me.
We are also taking part in another exciting competition through Times Tables Rockstars. This is part of Maths Week England and it's called Rock Out 2020. Attached below is a letter which outlines the details. Good luck!
Take care everyone and have a good week,
Mrs Smith
