British Science Week 2022

This year British Science Week was all about "Growth"
 
Willow Class designed an Outdoor Gym and a circuit of exercises. The children ran their Daily Mile, tried out different ways of moving in-between cones, channelled their inner Joe Wicks with some jumping jacks, lunges and burpees and then cooled down with a walk around the Daily Mile course.
 
We spoke about the importance of fitness and exercise and how it helps our bodies, muscles and bones grow and become stronger.  We also talked about the role of the heart and lungs during exercise, observed the changes to our bodies during exercise and spoke about how exercise boosts your mood.
