Corona Virus Closure-Week 11 (22.6.20)

Sycamore Class Weekly Blog – Week 11

Another fantastic week of work Sycamore class! Well done to Conor, who knocked Anya off the top spot of our leaderboard on Spellingframe.

It is getting harder and harder to pick a ‘Star of the Week’. This week it has been awarded to Maisie for your resilience in maths and your fantastic diorama of an Anderson shelter.

This week’s learning

Like the last 2 weeks you have your Reading Plus, Spelling Frame and TTRS. In maths we are moving on with our decimals journey by adding, subtracting decimals with the same and different amount of numbers, including whole numbers. Before learning how to multiply and divide decimals by 10, 100 and 1000. In English this week, we are jumping ahead a few chapters to Chapter 5- finishing the week by writing a set of instructions on how to build an Anderson Shelter. In Humanities we are looking at how the war affected women’s lives and what jobs they took on during that time.

Work to submit this week:

This week, you only have one submitted task- your written instructions for your Anderson Shelter.  Don’t forget you must complete your Spelling Test (on Spellingframe), Reading Plus and TTRS.
