9th December 2019

It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas and therefore it must be time to take to the stage.

The younger children (not nursery) will be performing the Sleepy Shepherd on Tuesday at 1:45pm and again on Wednesday morning at 10am. Then it’s a quick scenery change ready for the Lower Key Stage 2 panto which this year is called ‘Cinderella Rockerfella’. The panto will be performed on Wednesday afternoon at 1:45pm and Thursday evening at 6pm. Please bring the children in years 3 and 4 back to school at 5:30pm on Thursday to get dressed for the play. Remember that pre-school children are welcome at the dress rehearsals on Monday - 9:30am for the Infants and 1:30pm for the year 3 & 4 panto. Please do not take photos or use mobile phones during the concerts as we don’t have photographic consent for all our children.

The choir will commence their Christmas tour on Wednesday when they perform for the Elderberries Christmas Party this will be followed by the Grand Tour of Alnwick on Friday.

We will round the week off with the Friend Christmas Bingo on Friday evening.

Last week the overall attendance was 95.6% which is slightly below the school target of 96%, Oak class topped the leaderboard with 98% attendance. We continue to have a lot of absences due to winter viruses – please remind your children to wash their hands and keep them off school for 48 hours if they are sick.
