Monday 1st of March

Monday 1st of March 2021

Hello Willow Class, I hope you have all had a lovely weekend and are ready for one more week of home learning. As usual, you will access all of your home learning through Google Classroom but these class pages will continue to give you an overview and any news that you may need in the coming week.

It was lovely to catch up with parents last week as part of our telephone consultations. There's nothing better than face to face meetings but it was really beneficial to have those conversations, particularly in preparation for our return to school. Mental Health and Well being was always going to be the primary focus of the discussions and it will continue to be at the forefront of our day to day learning. Being mentally well and in a healthy mind space for learning is so important and we will continue to keep our classroom an open space for talking about our thoughts and feelings : )

World Book Day is here again on Thursday 4th of March. We all know how much fun we usually have dressing up as our favourite book characters, so why stop this year? This Thursday, we will have some World Book Day activities for you to do and it would be great to still get dressed up for it! You can even post up a photo of yourself as your character. Often, there are lots of things you already have at home that can be used for dressing up. I've got my costume ready so let's have some fun this Thursday and join in with the spirit of World Book Day : )

Star of the week ~ Our certificate goes to Daisy McArdle for creating super simile sentences as part of her 'Imaginary Worlds' work. Well done daisy!

Keeping Active

It's important that you keep your mind and body active during our school closure so we have created a super 'PE Blockbusters Challenge' which will allow you to choose a different exercise to complete each day. This can be found in Google Classroom along with the keeping Active Workouts. Take your pick from the activities and enjoy!

If you have any questions or queries, please just get in touch.

Stay well,

Mrs Smith : )
