Maths – Times Table Rockstars

Let the battle commence… This week, all of the KS2 children at Swansfield Park Primary School are taking part in the one and only, ‘Maths Week England - TTRS Competition’. This is a huge competition that involves thousands of schools throughout the whole of England. Lets see if we can get some of Team Swansfield on the Maths England leaderboard, and maybe even win some prizes and certificates!

The competition will begin at 7:30am on Monday 9th November and will run through until Saturday 14th November at 7:30pm. The aim of the competition is to answer as many questions as you can correctly between the hours of 7:30am and 7:30pm each day - Good luck everyone!

Maths: Inverse Operations – Google Classroom

This week you have been set a selection of questions that require you to identify and calculate inverse operations.

Login to Google Classroom, select ‘Classwork’, ‘W.C 09.11.20 Homework’ and then ‘Maths – Inverse Operations’. Remember to open the task using ‘Google Slides’, complete all of the slides and make sure you press ‘Turn In’ once it is completed. Top Tip: Again, it would be a good idea to have a piece of paper and a pen with you so that you can use written methods when calculating.

English: Direct and Indirect Speech – Google Classroom

In our English lessons this week, we have been practising how to write direct and indirect (reported) speech. To secure your understanding work through the questions in the presentation.

To access the English task, select ‘Classwork’, ‘W.C 09.11.20 Homework’ and then ‘English Homework- Direct and Indirect Speech’. Remember to open the task using ‘Google Slides’, complete all of the slides and make sure you press ‘Turn In’ once it is completed.

All homework tasks need to be completed by Monday 16th November. If you have any questions or queries, we are always here to help, please just get in touch.
