15th July 2019

The last week of term is always bitter sweet as we are looking forward to celebrating the end of primary education with our year 6 children. On Friday we have leavers’ lunch (roast dinner and sticky toffee pudding) at 11:45am followed by leavers’ assembly at 2pm. We are immensely proud of our year 6 children and extremely pleased with their SATs results - well done everyone.

Looking ahead Tuesday will be a busy day. We are expecting the Northumbria in Bloom judges in the morning followed by Swansfield Celebrates at 6pm. This event will be opened by the brilliant Ellie Mercury (Lang) who won the Talent Show last year; we will be entertained by this year’s contestants, the school choir and the last chance to enjoy performances by some of our fantastic year 6 children.

Our musicians will take to the stage once again on Thursday morning for a special music assembly.

We are collecting reading books and library books in so please have a good look at home and return any you have.

Thank you for all your support this year. Have a wonderful summer holiday and we’re looking forward to welcoming you back to school on Wednesday 4th September - Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd September are training days.
