Mapping our school

In our Geography topic work this term we are beginning to learn about different mapping techniques. This afternoon we challenged ourselves to recreate a map of the KS1 corridor. We started by surveying the corridor, taking photographs and drawing simple sketch maps. Back in the classroom, we learnt about aerial images and the idea of a 'bird's eye view' and tried to imagine how the corridor would look from above. Finally, we used any resources available to us in the classroom to recreate the corridor - have a look at the photographs and see if you can spot Ash Class, complete with 26 children sitting perfectly on the carpet!
