Meet the Maple Class team
Mrs Smith
What animal would you like to be?
I’d like to be an elephant because they’re simply magnificent and they can blow water out of their trunks!
Favourite colour
Green because there are so many different shades of it in nature.
Favourite place
Our local beaches because they are beautiful (see my picture of Dunston Steads below!) and with some fantastic sand dunes for sliding down.
Favourite food
Anything spicy and avocados!
What do you like doing in your free time?
I love going on "adventure" walks with my daughters and husband as we never quite know where we will end up! I also enjoy like swimming and yoga and I love to read. I've just finished Slime by David Walliams with Florence but I still prefer Roald Dahl.
What do you like about working and teaching at Swansfield?
Our friendly staff and children and Hazel’s roast dinners.
Mr Rose
What animal would you like to be?
I'd love to be a spider monkey so I could swing from tree to tree across the rainforest canopy - what an amazing view they must have!
Favourite colour
Blue. Did you know that 40% of people worldwide say that blue is their favourite colour!
Favourite place
You can't beat the Northumberland coastline.
Favourite food
Lasagne, chips, garlic bread and peas - the meal of champions!
What do you like about working and teaching at Swansfield?
There is such a purposeful atmosphere at Swansfield - it is inspiring to work with children who are so determined to learn.
