Welcome to Apple Class
Hello and a very warm welcome to Nursery- Apple class. Have a look at the video below of some of our nursery children singing to our favourite song- If I were an animal! This is a taster of some of the fun your child will have with us.
Our class teacher is Miss Freeman and we have Kerry and Mrs Pickard in our class to help us with all of the exciting work we do. I know many of you will be apprehensive to start given the circumstances, but, I want to assure you that we will do our very best to support your child and make their time in Apple class exciting, safe, memorable and fun!
Our day will start with an 8.45am drop-off. I'll come and collect the children from the green gate by Nursery entrance (next to the small staff car park). I'm sorry that we won't be able to welcome parents into the classroom but all our team members will be on hand to help your children say goodbye and come in happily. Then it will be a 3.00pm pick up (full day) at the same green gate.
If your child is staying just for the morning, pick up will be at 11.15am (if they are not having lunch) or 11.45am (if they are staying for lunch). If your child is coming for the afternoon, your start time will be 12.00pm (if you would like them to have lunch) or 12.30pm (if they aren't having lunch). Please adhere to these times as they are part of Swansfield Park’s staggered times to keep all members of our school and community safe. To minimise the number of people on site, we continue to ask that only one adult accompanies their child to and from school. Site access for children in Apple class will be the green gate via the Avenue (Police station road).
Children will need to bring to school a full change of clothes (jumper/cardigan, top, trousers, socks, pants/nappies), a named pair of wellies, a named sun hat and some sun cream. These can remain in school. Every day you will need to bring a named water bottle, jumper/cardigan and coat. These are the only things that will come home each day.
PE Kits and book bags will not be needed for Nursery!
Children do not need to bring in their own hand sanitiser as this is administered in school along with regular handwashing but please reinforce good hand and respiratory hygiene to help reduce the spread of coronavirus.
Please continue to visit Apple class page at the end of every week to see what we have been up to. My blog will be written over the weekend for you to view.
