Welcome to Maple Class
Hello and welcome to our Year 4 Maple class.
Our class teachers are Mrs Smith (Monday - Wednesday) and Mr Rose (Wednesday - Friday) and we also have Mrs Barrass in our classroom to help us with the work we do.
Our day will start with an 8.55am drop-off and finish at 3.10pm. Please adhere to these times as they are part of Swansfield Park’s staggered times during the COVID-19 pandemic to keep all members of our school and community safe. To minimise the number of people on site, we continue to ask that only one adult accompanies their child to and from school. Site access for children in Maple class is via the Park Gate, follow the one-way system, walk around the back of the school building and the children will be handed over to staff at the Maple Class door. Please wait socially distanced and remember that adults will not be allowed inside the school building.
Children will have their own equipment in class, provided by School, so they should not bring in a pencil case or any other stationery items. They will need to bring in a named water bottle each day, school bag and a lunch box if they are having a packed lunch. Also, on hot days, please remember a sun hat for your child and to apply sun-cream before leaving home.
PE kits will not be needed in school initially. We will inform you when your child needs to bring one in.
Please bring in a pair of named wellies as we will access the school field in all weathers.
Children do not need to bring in their own hand sanitiser as this is administered in school along with regular hand washing but please reinforce good hand and respiratory hygiene to help reduce the spread of coronavirus.
Homework and spellings will be displayed each week on our class page which will also be regularly updated with our exciting learning, activities and photographs so please remember to visit our page regularly.
