Head Teacher's Blog 30.11.20

30th November 2020

This week will see the start of our Christmas season in school, it won’t be quite the same – fewer angels, panto dames and less oohs and aahs, but we’re determined to make the most of it!

Thanks to Homebase for gifting us a Christmas tree for our new garden area. This will be decorated soon along with the tree in the school hall to bring a bit of Christmas cheer.

The Christmas goodies for those who ordered from Art projects for Schools are beginning to come into school now. Orders will be given out over the next week.

As we face up to the disappointment of entering Tier 3 on Wednesday and the ongoing restrictions I want to thank everyone for helping to keep school safe by wearing face coverings and keeping socially distant. We greatly appreciate your co-operation.

This week parents in Plum and Rowan Classes will be having their telephone consultations with Mrs Grimes and Miss Back respectively. Parents in Maple and Larch will receive their google forms to arrange time slots. Please bear in mind the work life balance of the staff by selecting either a morning or afternoon slot and only request an evening call if there’s absolutely no alternative.

This week we have been particularly impressed with Benjamin Rowley, Jack Boutelle, Sophia Pearce, Evelyn Baker, Eva Clark, Kye Campbell, Archie Lee, Isabelle Allen, Amy Evans, Lilly Ha, Reece Gladstone and Maisey Ostle - our stars of the week. Well done everyone, an electronic certificate will be with you soon.
