Head Teacher's Blog 22nd October 2018

22nd October 2018

We've had a busy but fun filled half term and we’re looking forward to a well-deserved week off. Please note that we are at school on Friday even though the High School has a training day. We return to school on Tuesday 6th November.

Thank you for your generosity at Harvest Festival. I hope you enjoyed our celebrations the children certainly did! We shared the gifts between the elderly and the Alnwick Food Bank.

The football competition continued last week, Swansfield Park Rangers played away at St Michael’s and won 8 - 4. This Wednesday Rangers are playing Longhoughton at home (Lindisfarne field), kick off is 3:15pm.

We have received some marvellous, creative family learning projects, well done to all who took part – we have a surprise treat for you all!

We have some exciting visits to the Police Station arranged for the key stage 1 children and year 6 will be taking part in “Restart a Heart” training on Monday.

Last week the attendance remained at 96.3% which is slightly above the school target of 96%. Larch had the best attendance with 99.3% – well done

Other dates to remember this week are:
