Head Teacher's Blog 14th October 2019

14th October 2019

We are looking forward to our Harvest Festival on Wednesday, please bring your gifts to the school hall in the morning and come along and enjoy the celebration. It’s not too late to invite an elderly relative or friend to our delicious harvest lunch on Friday - just give the office a call by Tuesday.

In the football competition last week Swansfield Park Rangers were beaten by St Pauls 1:0. We are looking forward playing Longhoughton on Wednesday after school, this match will be played on the Lindisfarne field.

Please remember to bring in your family learning projects by Tuesday, details of which can be found in the September newsletter. We are making a beautiful display as a background for our harvest festival.

As the weather definitely has an autumnal feel to it please remember to send your child to school with coats and wellies so they can enjoy our wonderful outdoor environment at playtime.

Other dates to remember this week are:

  • The Gazette photographer will be in school on Monday to take pictures of our new starters
  • Harvest Festivals on Wednesday – Infants at 10am and Juniors at 2pm
  • Year 2 trip on Monday to Aln Valley Railway
