PLEASE READ BEFORE WEEK 5

Hi everyone,

I hope that you have all managed as best you can to enjoy the lovely weather we have had over the Easter period. I know some of you have been out for walks in the countryside and that others have been keeping busy baking, painting pictures or learning new skills, as well as taking part in the Easter competition, which I hope you found fun.

This new way of teaching and learning still feels very strange, but we as a school are here to support you and your children during this time and to ensure that they are kept busy learning and continuing their education. We as a school recognise that parents and carers are facing unprecedented challenges, whether you are at work, looking after relatives or neighbours (collecting and delivering food or medicine) or in fact anything else. We as a school appreciate all of your efforts. We are also aware of the importance of the physical, social and emotional well-being of the children as well as the importance that their learning continues as best as possible. As a result, I want to make home schooling your children as easy and as stress-free as possible by giving you a variety of different activities each week.

Thank you to all of you who have taken the time to email me with examples of the work that you have been getting up to at home, some of which I have shared in the Home Learning Gallery. Thank you as well to those of you who have kept me updated with how you are getting on. I am able to see remotely who has accessed Times Table Rockstars at home as well as FrogPlay (which is being replaced from the 1st May), however, with other home learning activities I am not able to see all of the children's fantastic work unless it is emailed or shared with me. Therefore, so that we can make sure children are accessing the other set activities, we ask that you email 2 activities to me each week. On the learning page, I will let you know which tasks I would like you to email. Please could you also encourage your child (under your supervision) to email the work from their School360 email account, which they can access from the 'Mail' tab on their homepage, to me at craig.warburton@school360.co.uk. This allows me to give them feedback directly as well as allocate School 360 points and certificates. I can also then add work to our Home Learning Gallery.

We fully appreciate that these are very difficult times and keeping as well, safe, positive and as happy as we can remains the top priority. With all of this in mind, we thank you for all of your support and if you have any questions, concerns or queries, please get in touch using my email address: craig.warburton@school360.co.uk.

Stay safe,
Mr W
