Spring 2 Spring and Jack and the Beanstalk

What a lovely term we have had and also very busy. This term has been a bit of a big one as we say bye to the original Cherries as they go to see Miss Freeman and Kerry over to nursery (Apple Class). They have spent the full term going over everyday to learn exciting things and to meet their friends. The children have been very positive and are very much looking forward to their new adventure.
During this term the children have looked after their own beanstalks (runner beans). They were keen to come in the mornings to look how much they have grown or hadn't! The children learned about what the beanstalks needed in order to grow, and it made them questions other things in the garden they hadn't noticed before.
We have also been reading the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. The children have really enjoyed this terms story, they took to the story really well and remembered lots of main points. This has very much been the focal point of their learning covering lots of the EYFS.
We are pleased to say this term the parents have been able to access their own child's learning journey online and it seems to be going well and I am pleased to have had great feedback, thank you very much. If you are having problems please let me know and we will be able to fix this. Thank you to the parents who attended the meeting.
Thank you for the lovely gifts and kind cards we have received and we hope you have a wonderful holiday.
Happy Easter! Claire
