w/b 10th May

Hello Maple

On Google classroom your homework is four Fraction challenges to complete to recap what we have learnt in class.
For Spelling Frame practise your spellings and take the test 3 times over the week.
For Bug Club don't forget to have a read of the cartoon booklet Shocks and Secrets.  If you have finished this let me know and I will add a new book for you.

We are ringing the changes this week! Instead of TTRS we are going to start preparing for our entry in the National Numeracy Sumdog Contest starting at 8am on Friday May 14th! You will be competing with other classes across the country and there is the chance to win certificates and points for your 'Sumdog House.'
Your task this week is to get logged on to Sumdog and have a practice before the contest.   We will be having a practice in class in computing on Tuesday and I will send you all your login details on Google classroom but you will need to practice at least twice at home.
 During the contest,
  • you simply play Sumdog's mathematics games and  as you do you'll answer questions that contribute to your score.
  • Our  class score is the average number of correct answers across the pupils who take part so everyone needs to log on.
  • There's a maximum of 1000 questions for each student - so accuracy is more important than speed; take your time with your answers as it is not how many you answer but how many you get right.
  • To qualify for the leaderboards, at least 5 students from a class need to play.
