Week 14th April Blog

Hi Guys

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend with your families celebrating Easter.

Now, I have been doing lots of baking in my household, my favourite activity to do and this week I made a banana loaf my favourite! So....

This week I would like each of you to bake or make something in the kitchen it can be anything of your choice and it doesn’t have to be cakes it could even be helping prepare food for the family. This is a great way for children to use tools and utensils from the kitchen under supervision.

It also helps children to establish skills such as pouring, mixing, measuring using cups or spoons and counting into the bowl, experiencing different textures, what makes things dry and wet, and allowing the children to use their own senses such as taste, touch, smell.

This will also help support your children to follow and listen to simple instructions and understand dangers around the kitchen.

Can’t wait to here all about it!

Have a great second week of the Easter holidays! Look forward to hearing from you all! Stay safe and well Claire
