Week 18th May Blog

Hello everyone

Hope you are all doing well. Thank you again to the parents I spoke to last week about their child's learning, there was some cracking stuff!

On a more important note, please could parents contact me if they haven't already about the status of your child returning to school on the 1st of June, this is very important for us to know, so as a school we are prepared.

Monday: I found a little ladybird on my washing line this week! I wonder what minibeast you can find outside? Take a picture, see if you can count the legs, eyes, has it got antennas? Does it fly? What colour is it? Where did you find it? Does it make a sound? - I know a lot of parents have taken this opportunity to explore speech and language with their children, this is a great way to learn through exploring and encouraging new words to add to vocabularies . Good luck!

Tuesday: Draw, paint, make your favourite minibeast from outside. Remember how to hold the mark making tools and scissors correctly!

Wednesday: Have you got a story about a minibeast at home? If you have why not give it a read for bedtime. Let's see what connections and links your child can make from their own minibeast adventure.

Thursday: Song time! What songs can you think of to sing associated with creepy crawlies? There's a worm at the bottom of the ............ or 5 little speckled frogs sat on a .................

You'll find the words and actions for a good one in the pictures below.

Friday: Can you make your very own minibeast hotel?  You can use anything you like and it can be for any one of the minibeasts you found on your minibeast hunt. Here are some ideas in the pictures below.
