Week 8- 19.12.22

We have made it!
Well done Pears- you've had busy fingers and busy brains right up until the end of the week; lots of learning and festive fun too! On Monday afternoon we made some delicious mince pies with Mrs Johnson. We prepped, rolled, filled and gobbled our tasty treats- sorry Santa; we'll have to get some more for you!
In our maths sessions this week we have been thinking about 'time' and in particular '1 minute'. We used a sand timer to see how long a minute was- longer than we thought! We were then set some challenges to see what we could do in a minute! We were brilliant at seeing how many baubles we could balance on tubes and how many times we could throw and catch a beanbag! We had a go at seeing if we could beat our records!

This week has been full of fantastic festive fun and the highlight was our Christmas party on Wednesday which  was complete with a visit from Santa and his elves! We were very excited to see them and receive play doh for each of us to use in our activities in Pear class! Our party was so much fun with lots of games and dancing- the perfect way to end our term.

We have had a wonderful first term with our perfect pears and we are very proud of how hard they have all worked, how much they have learnt and confident and independent they have become. Well done Pears!

Have a safe and very merry Christmas. Best wishes for 2023 and we look forward to welcoming you all back in January, The Pear Class Team
