Week 8th June

Blog 12 Cherry Class

Hello Cherries, hope all is well. Thank you for your feedback last week. This week we are learning about all things related to the ocean. It is world Ocean day on Monday so I thought this would be a lovely theme for our Cherries. Here is a link for you and your children to tell you all about World Ocean day.

Monday: Create your own ocean bin. This can be with water, sand, shells, sea animals, plastic to show and teach children to keep plastic out of our seas and to discard rubbish correctly, you could do this using tweezers or kitchen tongs.

Tuesday: Make your own foil ocean painting – use some of mum/dad’s kitchen foil, doesn’t have to be paint, you could also stick materials onto the foil to create your own ocean. Think about the colours you might see in the ocean.

Wednesday: Song time – here are some songs you may or may not know to learn, sing and watch.

Thursday: Make your own ocean den, be creative with colours and materials and things you can find around the house. Why not be the ocean or be an ocean animal  and move or sound like that animal – seal, dolphin, crab, whale or fish.

Friday: Story time – have you got a story at home to read to do with an ocean animal, the ocean, sea, beach?

Have a good week Cherries and as always can’t wait to hear what you have been up to. Stay safe Claire
