Weekly Blog & Homework ~ 21.11.22

Blog & Homework for week beginning 21.11.22

Dear parents and carers,

I hope you all had an enjoyable weekend and enjoyed our school Christmas fair along with the light switch on. It all seemed to be a great success! Our fundraising events for Children in Need also went well. The children looked great ( and very comfortable) in their pyjamas or own clothes. Thank you for all of your support for these events and a big 'thank you' to Mrs Johnson for organising our Children in Need activities for the children to enjoy.

CELEBRATIONS

Our Star of the Week certificate goes to Ollie Ross for enthusiastic contributions and attitude to class learning. Well done Ollie!

P.E

PE for this term will take place on a Tuesday and Friday. Children should come to school wearing purple shorts or plain black joggers or leggings, their white PE t-shirt, purple school jumper or hoodie and trainers. Please make sure that your child also has a named water bottle in school.

Wellies ~
If you haven't already, please can you send in a pair of named wellies for your child as we will be outside in all weathers. Thank you.

Homework Overview

Google Classroom ~ See this week's instructions on Goggle Classroom for your two week project on designing a 'healthy teeth' poster or leaflet which is due in on Monday the 5th of December.

Spellings ~ Spelling Frame - access Spelling Frame and complete at least 2 activities and a practice test.

Times Tables Rockstars ~ Jump on to TTRS to have fun building fluency with your times table calculations. The girls won our latest class tournament. Well done!

Reading ~ Your child has a Guided Reading Book. Please ensure you read with your child as well as encouraging independent reading and leave a comment in the reading record to let us know how they are progressing. Your child can write comments too.

 TOP TIPS FOR HOMEWORK...
~ Little and often...and not last minute! Give yourself enough time to complete homework tasks. Why not get as much done through the week so you can have the weekend off : )
~ Be comfortable...make sure you work in a comfortable space, perhaps with a drink and snack.
~ Have little screen breaks to keep your eyes healthy and happy!

If for any reason, on any week, you have any issues with homework, please just let me know.
