Welcome to Larch Class

Welcome to Larch Class.

We hope that you are all safe and well and looking forward to joining ‘Team Larch’ in September.

Understandably, your return to school will be a little different this year however, as a team, I’m sure that we’ll still have lots of fun and make many lasting memories together. Miss Baxter and I will also be with you every step of the way when you return to school so please don’t worry.

We hope that this page will give you some of the useful information you need for joining Larch Class in September.

Timings: 8:35 – 14:50 (Please arrive promptly)

You can arrive and leave the school site as a disclaimer if the school office has been informed of this. Please make sure that you continue to follow social distancing rules and do not mix with children from other bubbles in order to prevent social mixing. Where children do not have a disclaimer, to minimise the number of people on site, we continue to ask that only one adult accompanies their child to and from school.

Site Access: Via The Park Gate and in through the classroom patio doors

Equipment: We have stationary packs ready and waiting for each and every one of you so please leave pencil cases and other pieces of equipment at home.  You will need to bring a named water bottle to school each day along with a pair of outdoor shoes and a sunhat. Please make sure that your outdoor shoes and sunhat are labelled.

PE Kits: You won’t need your PE Kits initially as our coaching sessions aren’t scheduled to start straight away. On the days that we do have PE, you will be asked to come to school in your PE Kit for the whole day.

Homework & Spellings: We will continue to use our class page on the school website to inform you of your weekly homework and spelling tasks. Homework overviews will be uploaded on a Monday and you will have until the following Monday to complete the work.

As well as homework and spellings, we will continue to communicate with our Larch Class families using our class page and also upload photographs of the exciting activities, experiences and work that we are doing in school so please keep a lookout. We will also share our Autumn term newsletter with you all electronically in September as well.

Miss Baxter and I are really looking forward to seeing you all, we have so many exciting things to tell you about, as I'm sure you will too! We'll make sure that we have lots of time to talk, sharing our thoughts, feelings and reflections on the last few months.

In the meantime, if you have any questions or queries, please just get in touch using the following email address: charlotte.murdy@swansfield.northumberland.sch.uk

Take care everyone :)
