Blog & Homework for week commencing 13th of December 2021

Blog & Homework for week commencing 13th of December

Hello everyone,
I hope this week's blog finds you all well and that you have all had a lovely weekend. Willow Class worked so hard last week and I am sure are nearly ready for a well-deserved rest - after the excitement that is yet to come of course! This week brings Christmas dinners on Wednesday, followed by Christmas Jumper Day on Friday. We will have our Snowman and Snowdog animations with the song Light the Night up on our class page by the end of the week so look out for that!

CELEBRATIONS
Our Star of the Week certificate goes to Olivia Lee for sharing your developed similes in English and your secure understanding of column addition and subtraction this week. Well done Olivia!

P.E
PE will be on Tuesday only this week. There will be no PE on the first week back to school. Following that, PE will be on Tuesday and Friday  (Modified Team Games/Attacking & Defending)

In line with our Covid-19 Risk Assessment, we are asking children to come into school in their outdoor PE kit on the day of their PE lesson. Children should wear black joggers or leggings or as the weather gets warmer, children may wish to wear their purple shorts, their white PE t-shirt, purple school jumper and trainers. Please make sure that your child also has a named water bottle in school.

Homework Overview
There is no set homework over the Christmas holidays. Spellings will be set on the day we return to school.

 TOP TIPS FOR HOMEWORK...
~ Little and often...and not last minute! Give yourself enough time to complete homework tasks. Why not get as much done through the week so you can have the weekend off : )
~ Be comfortable...make sure you work in a comfortable space, perhaps with a drink and snack.
~ Have little screen breaks to keep your eyes healthy and happy!

If for any reason, on any week, you have any issues with homework, please just let me know. Children have been sent home with all passwords they will need for now. Please keep them all in a safe place.

Finally, the Willow Class Team wish you all a very merry Christmas and all the best for 2022. Enjoy your time together and we look forward to seeing you all in the new year. If you have any queries or questions, please do not hesitate to contact me on:
