Curriculum
We are very proud of our curriculum at Swansfield Park Primary School. The best way to find out about our curriculum is to see it in action or talk to our children about their learning. However, these pages will give you an overview of its structure and a little glimpse into what our children experience.

Our Curriculum Intent at Swansfield Park Primary School
Our curriculum is rich and vibrant. While meeting the requirements of the National Curriculum, we go beyond this to deliver a curriculum that is grounded in our children’s daily lives, yet diverse and global in its reach.
We have thoughtfully curated and organised the substantive knowledge and disciplinary skills for our children to learn. This prepares them well for their time at Swansfield and beyond as lifelong learners.
Our curriculum encourages children to connect their learning so that it is securely embedded in long term memory, ready to be used, refined and built upon throughout their life.
Our curriculum comes to life through many and varied enhancements, for example: educational visits, visitors to school, celebrations of significant events and opportunities to respond to current affairs.
Here you'll find information about what children will be learning throughout the year. We’ll share details about the topics we’re covering, key learning goals and how you can support your child’s progress.
You’ll also find updates on any exciting projects, cross-curricular work and how we make learning fun, engaging, and meaningful for every child.
