What a lovely sunny week in Plum class! Its been lovely to get outside and enjoy learning in the garden. We have been learning all about bees this week and on Monday we had a special visit from a beekeeper (who is also Mrs Tate's Dad!).We found out all about the job of bees and the how they are cared for. We found out so many interesting facts which we have used in our learning this week. We loved seeing the equipment and tools needed to take are of bees and the best part of all (for some of us!) was tasting the delicious honey! We know that bees drink the nectar which they then turn into honey. Delicious! We also found out the important jobs that bees do in order to help other plants and trees grow by pollinating them. Wow- bees are very clever indeed!

Its been a busy week and the children are definitely ready for half term break!

Enjoy every minute of the sunshine- Miss F
