Welcome to Nursery

Dear Parents and Carers,

We hope that you and your family are well during these rather unusual times.  We have welcomed  our children back to school and it has been delightful to see our classrooms come alive once again with the sights and sounds of learning and play. We have thorough risk assessments in place and the resources and curriculum we are offering adheres to the guidance set out by the government.

As you can imagine, all of this has taken a lot of time, careful planning and much consideration as the safety of our children, families and staff is paramount.

We would like to thank you for your patience as you have waited for your child to begin their learning journey within Apple Class and we very much look forward to welcoming you and your child into our school in January.

We would also like to offer apologies that we aren’t able to carry out our usual procedures for transition into school. The initial home-visit that we usually make is a great way for you to meet Miss Freeman, our nursery teacher and for her to begin to get to know you as a family.  In addition, your child’s visit to our setting is an important part of the settling in process.  While we are unable to carry out these usual routines, we will do our best to make your child’s transition as smooth as possible.

We have included some information on our website that we hope you find useful.   Please feel free to email Miss Freeman with any questions (annabel.freeman@swansfield.northumberland.sch.uk).

With our very best wishes,

Anne-Marie Grimes
