5.5.23

This week saw us all come together to celebrate the upcoming Coronation- a very special event in the county’s calendar! We had such fun joining together with our friends from other classes and being as one to do our coronation conga and sing the National Anthem and the song that we have been learning - Sing for the King. We made very regal crowns which we wore to the celebrations. Some of us enjoyed a special coronation party lunch too! We will certainly always remember this special occasion.

Earlier in the week we had a brilliant 'street party' and ate our delicious scones that we made! We used our fabulous measuring skills to create the tasty delights!

Our Jigsaw session this week had us thinking about how to solve problems and stay friends. We thought about some questions such as “Have you ever argued/fallen out with a friend?” “What happened?” “Why?” “How did you feel?” “How did you make friends again?” We are definitely becoming very grown up and able to articulate our answers, feelings and attitudes extremely well as we could suggest some brilliant ways to make things better. We had fun saying our chant- “Make friends, make friends, never ever break friends!!”

In Charanga we bopped to ‘Don't You Worry 'Bout A Thing’ performed by Incognito as well as continuing our Big Bear Funk music. We have also been very musical, practising for the coronation event and learning our songs very well!

Our maths this week saw us begin to find out about 3D shapes, their properties and sorting and grouping them. We are superstars!

Have a lovely weekend,
