Clarty Commandos

Our first day at Clarty Commandos was a great success. The children did lots of physical team building activities where they had to support and encourage each other to problem solve and complete an obstacle course challenge. They demonstrated brilliant communication skills - great work!
Mark Tuff who runs Clarty Commandos was so impressed with the group and their resilient and courageous attitude.
After lunch, it was time to learn how to make a fire. Mark showed us a safe, positive sitting position and how to prepare our materials.
We learned how to use a fire lighter, use secateurs to cut twigs to make a tinder bundle and how to saw branches using a pen knife.
We had a great day at Clarty Commandos! We enjoyed every minute of it and did some things that we have never done before. We challenged our bravery, conquered our fears and not one of us used the words 'I can't'.
