Countdown to Christmas - 23.12.22

The 1st December heralds two Tic Toc traditions. Firstly, untangling the Christmas tree and taking turns to decorate it and secondly, choosing our chapter book for the whole month.
We had great fun choosing which decorations were going on the tree this year (all of them, of course) and deciding whose turn it was to put the star on the top.
This year we decided to read "How Winston Delivered Christmas" which has a chapter for each day in the lead up to Christmas.
We have spent a lot of time crafting and decorating the room with our creations. The older children dried orange slices and studded them with cloves and star anise so the room smells amazing. While we have lots of decorated trees and stockings. We also made beautiful play dough scented with cinnamon.
Christmas party night - lots of rounds of Corners, Spin the Plate and Pin the Nose on the Reindeer as well as the world's largest Pass the Parcel! Lots of fun all round.
