This page is designed to help keep you updated on your child's homework and spellings for the week for the Spring Term. Children in Sycamore copy down their new spellings on a Monday, and are then tested on them the following Monday.
Your child should be practising their spellings at least three times over the course of the week, but in addition to homework and spellings, we also ask that you regularly read with your child and help them to learn their multiplication tables up to 12 (and the associated division facts). The children are enjoying using Timestable Rockstar within school to practise these. Please also encourage them to independently find a word in the dictionary if they don't know its meaning.
There are also games, activities and worksheets for all subjects available to help your child on our virtual learning platform,
School 360 (
https://school360.co.uk/login1/index.php). Some of the best can be found by clicking on
Resources and then either
j2e (which is very popular),
Frog Play or
IR (Interactive Resources).
