Ice - 16.12.22

The temperature dropped suddenly one night in early December so we decided to try and make ice sculptures for the following morning.
We made a search for pine needles, holly leaves and the last of the calendulas - anything that looked like it would make an outdoor decoration, and took turned to fill a muffin tray with water. Then we left them on the bench overnight.
The next morning was bright and frosty and our sculptures had frozen solid. They popped out of the muffin tray easily which was great, as even with our gloves on, it was a cold process. Then we tied the sculptures into the trees and admired how they sparkled in the morning sun.
