Friday 9th December - Christmas Jumper Day
Children are invited to wear their Christmas jumpers in place of school jumpers but we ask that children still wear the rest of their school uniform on this day. Children who have PE should wear their Christmas jumper along with their school joggers/leggings and trainers.
As Rowan Class are away on their trip to The Great North Museum on this day, we ask that they wear full school uniform and no Christmas jumper. This is to ensure that they can be easily identified as members of Swansfield Park when visiting this public venue.

Wednesday 21st December - Christmas Party
All children will have their Christmas party on Wednesday 21st December. Children are invited to come to school in their party clothes but please ensure that these are suitable for outdoor play and cold temperatures.
Thursday 22nd December - Christingle at St Paul’s church at 1:45pm
Years 5 and 6 will lead this service and children from Year 1-Year 6 will attend. Families are welcome to come along to a maximum of two guests per child. All children will return to school for pick up at 3pm - to keep all children safe, it will not be possible to hand over children at St Paul’s Church.
It’s always wonderful to have St Paul’s church lit up with Christingles for our special service. Jess McArdle from Ignite will be coming into school on the morning of Wednesday 21st December with a band of volunteers from local churches to make Christingles with our Year 1 and 2 children. We would be very grateful if children could bring in an orange to make their Christingle with and everything else will be provided. Children can bring in their oranges from Monday 19th December.
We invite children in Years 3-6 to make a Christingle and bring it into school on the morning of either Wednesday 21st Dec or Thursday 22nd Dec.
We will make every effort to bring the Christingles speedily back to school so that parents can accompany their children to the school hall to collect the Christingle from the class box.
