Drop off / pick up arrangements

10th February 2024

Dear parents and carers,

Further to my previous communication, here are some practical details for next week to ensure that everything runs smoothly and everyone has the information that they need.

Drop off:

Entry for all children will be via the Park Gate. This gate will not open until 08.30. You will not be able to enter the school site before this time.

Children in Pear. Plum, Ash, Oak, Beech, Willow, Chestnut and Maple classes should line up on the main yard in their class lines from 08.30 and staff will be outside at this time to indicate where each class line will be. Lines will head into classrooms at 08.35. Mrs Grimes, Mr Fordham-Scott and Mrs Howarth will be on the yard after lines have gone into the school building to direct those that come later than this time.

Children in Sycamore, Rowan and Larch classes should wait outside their classroom doors as is their usual routine.

Children in Apple class should line up on the top path above the big yard from 08.40 and Mrs Farrar and Apple class staff will be there waiting for you to ensure you know where you are going.

Pick Up:

Pick up arrangements for Ash, Oak, Beech, Willow, Chestnut, Maple, Sycamore, Rowan and Larch are unchanged from the normal collection routines. Please pick up at the usual time and the usual place. Please can we ask that you move off site as quickly as possible.

Pick up for Pear, Plum and afternoon Apple class children will be from the main yard but in order to ensure that we can do this in the safest way, we ask that pick up for these classes is from 15.10. Mrs Howarth will be on the Park Gate to direct anyone who is unsure of where to go.

Scheduled Events:

Due to the complexity of the arrangements that have been communicated and because of reduced space within school, please note that the following events will not take place:

  • Teacher led clubs on Monday and Thursday evenings

  • Dance club on Wednesday

  • Fun with Numbers for Y3 on Thursday

  • Maple class assembly on Thursday

  • All music lessons

  • Sensory circuits and iLearning

  • Before and after school care at Tic Toc

Once again, thank you for your understanding and the many kind messages that we have received over the last few days. We have a great school community!

We are really looking forward to seeing you all on Monday morning, be assured that a warm welcome will await the children. We’ve missed them all over the last few days.

Kind regards,

Anne-Marie
