Strike Action 15th & 16th March

10th March 2023

As you will be aware the NEU are planning further strike action on Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th March .  Whilst union members are under no obligation to inform employers of their intention of striking until the day of action our team has informed us of their intentions to enable both the school and parents to make appropriate plans.

This action directly affects our ability to open to all children on Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th March.

School will be open but unfortunately there will be disruption for some children.

Obviously this is a dynamic situation and could be subject to change. We have given you advance warning of likely disruption, however, if the situation changes in any way, we will update you.

Any child who was allocated a place on previous strike days because of additional needs or entitlement to free school meals will have a place on the 15th and 16th March. As Sycamore will be closed on these days, and has previously been open, new invitations will be sent by text message to children meeting this criteria.

If you are a critical worker and your child is in any of the above classes that are affected by strike action, please click HERE.

You can find a list of critical worker here at Annex A

Thank you for your support and understanding at this difficult time.

Kind regards,
