Welcome to Willow Class

Hello everyone and welcome to Willow class,

The 'Willow Class Team' (myself and Liz Tears) can't wait to meet you all in September and you all have lots to look forward to as well. Our year will be full of engaging and exciting activities both indoors and out. We are always busy in Willow class, whether it be designing, making, problem solving, writing, experimenting or exploring - there is always something to keep our brains and bodies busy!

This page will give you some of the useful information you need for beginning Willow Class in September.
  • Our day will start with an 8:35am drop-off and a 2.50pm pick up. To minimise the number of people on site, we continue to ask that only one adult accompanies their child to and from school. Site access for children in Willow class is via the park gate. There will be a one-way system in place for you to follow.
  • Children will have their own equipment in class, provided by school and in their own personal wallet, so they don't need to bring in a pencil case or any other stationary items. However, they will need to bring in a named water bottle each day, school bag and a lunch box if they are having a packed lunch. Also on hot days, please remember a sun hat for your child and to apply sun-cream before leaving home; we want to avoid any red noses! We intend to spend plenty of time in the outdoor environment as possible, so please could children also have a paired of named wellies in school.
  • PE Kits will not be needed in school initially. On the days when your child does have PE, we will ask them to come into school in their PE kits, which they will stay in for the day.
  • Over the year, we have become very familiar with the class pages so we intend to keep using these as a way of communicating each week's homework and spellings. This page will also be regularly updated with our exciting learning, activities, photographs and class news.
I think that is enough information to get us started but if I think of anything else, I will update this page.
If you need me for anything, please do not hesitate to contact me. My email box is always open and if we need to speak by phone, I have a good pair of listening ears too.

In the meantime, have a lovely summer and let's all look forward to a positive and fun-filled year ahead!

Take care everyone,

Mrs Smith and Liz : )
