Autumn 2 week 6

What a fabulously festive week we have had indeed! Weren’t we all superstars in our Christmas performance?! We acted and sang brilliantly and all the grown ups were extremely proud of us! We have also been continuing to make secret Christmas surprises- shh!
With the theme of Christmas being prevalent we have been continuing to think about Christians this week and their beliefs. We have been learning even more Christmas carols and have enjoyed watching some performances of other children singing at church on Christmas eves in the past. In our Charanga we very much enjoyed singing along to ‘Frosty the Snowman’ by Ella Fitzgerald. We had fun finding the pulse together as well as playing along to the beat with our egg shakers.

In Jigsaw this week we have been thinking about how to be a kind friend- something which we all certainly are in Pear class! We thought about how we might include other people in our games, share toys and use kind words. Jigsaw Jerry cat was very impressed with our circle time.

We have enjoyed listening to stories, sharing stories, reading our own sound blending books, counting, creating, crafting, playing and having very busy fingers and busy brains!

We will see you next week for our final week before the Christmas holidays…

Have a lovely weekend,

The Pear class team
