William Morris Inspired Prints

William Morris was one of the most influential designers of the 19th century. His work included wallpaper design and print, stained glass windows, furniture, tiles and tapestries. He was known for using nature in his designs. Willow Class explored a range of William Morris designs and used the great outdoors in sketching their own observational drawings. They then chose a specific part of their own sketch or a William Morris design and transferred it to a print by etching the design onto lino. Finally, they rolled paint across their print and pressed it onto paper. The results were so impressive!
