We were delighted last week to see the year 6 children setting off on their residential trip. They thoroughly enjoyed their wilderness camping experience and all the adventurous activities they tried. Photographs will be uploaded onto the school website so you can see the fun for yourselves! Well done to children for their positive attitude and for “having a go” and a massive thank you to the staff for making this trip such a memorable experience as well as the late nights and very early mornings - we hope you slept well over the weekend!
We were proud of the choir for returning to their community singing duties and performing brilliantly at The Wonderful World Festival at Alnwick Gardens - well done! Our music for this week ‘What a Wonderful World’ was performed by children from across the local area yesterday and sounded fabulous. Enjoy this classic and sing along at home!
This week we will be informing parents about the class allocations for next year. This year we have been faced with many challenges and this has influenced our decisions when organising the school for next year. First and foremost we have considered the childrens’ needs whether it be social, emotional, physical, behavioural or learning. Please remember that we have an overview of all the needs and we are considering the “best fit” for all the children.
Other events to remember this week are:
Rowan and Larch will be swimming for next 4 weeks
Year 5 are off to Sweethope Lough on Friday for a day of exciting adventurous activities. In preparation for their transition to year 6 they will be accompanied by Miss Back and Mrs Murdy.
Please bring any summer fair donations into school and don’t forget to sell your raffle tickets!
We’ve had a bit of a technical hitch with information about Stars of the Week - we’ll update this information very soon so we can congratulate the certificate winners on their hard work!
Bye for now.
