Meet the Larch Class team

Hello everyone! We're really looking forward to getting to know you all in September but we thought it would be nice if you knew a little bit about us before then.

If you could choose one meal what would it be?

Mrs M: It would have to be spaghetti carbonara with lots of Parmesan cheese and some garlic bread to soak up all the creamy sauce!

Miss B: Macaroni cheese is my favourite meal, the cheesier the better!

What hobbies and interest do you have?

Mrs M: I enjoy pottering around in my garden, particularly if it is a nice warm day. I also enjoy making a cup of tea first thing in the morning and heading up the garden to see my chickens and to collect their freshly laid eggs for breakfast.

Miss B: I enjoy spending time with my two boys, they certainly keep me busy! I also enjoy walking our dog Lexi and listening to all kinds of music.

What is your favourite type of holiday?

Mrs M: Now this is a tricky one… I like ‘warm’ holidays but not those that are too hot! The Lake District is always beautiful no matter what time of year you visit and I also like holidays that are ‘a little bit different’. This Summer I’m going to stay in a treehouse on a beach (Fingers crossed for that warm weather I was talking about!).

Miss B: It would have to be a hot, sunny holiday where I could sit and soak up the rays on a sun lounger!

If you were a superhero what powers would you have?

Mrs M: I would love to have the power of invisibility so that I could secretly see what everyone was getting up to without them knowing that I was watching.

Miss B: My favourite superhero is Spider-Man and I would love to have his web slinging abilities to help with all of my classroom jobs.

What is the best thing about your job?

Mrs M: From an early age I always knew that teaching was the job for me. Not only is every day different, but each individual that you work with as a teacher is so unique and I find this very rewarding. I particularly enjoy teaching Maths and making learning fun!

Miss B: There's so many aspects to my job that I enjoy, from helping out in the lunch hall to cleaning up grazed knees! I love supporting children's learning and watching their characters and personalities grow from that of a three year old in Nursery to that of a Year 6 preparing to move on to high school. It's all so rewarding. Believe it or not, I've worked at Swansfield Park for 16 years now and each day has been different.
